Annual Environment & Mineral Conservation Week is celebrated every year and it has its importance in Indian mining to promote health and safety of mine workers and mine working. This year i.e. in 2017-18 celebration of Swachhata Week was also added in order to contribute towards the goal of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). It aims to grow awareness among all stakeholders regarding different aspects of safety and cleanliness in mines.  25th Environment & Mineral Conservation Week 2017-18 was celebrated under the aegis of Indian Bureau of Mines, Gandhinagar Region from 03/01/2018 to 10/01/2018 with final day function hosted at Ultratech Cement Work, Sevagram, Naliya, Bhuj on 24/03/2018.

As a part of 25th Environment & Mineral Conservation Week 2017-18 celebration, various competitions were conducted for Limestone & Bauxite Mines of the Gujarat State. Total 74 Limestone & Bauxite Mines and their mining contractors participated in the various categories of competitions in the category of Limestone & Bauxite Mines of Gujarat State.
